Pools by Bradley + YMCA = A Winning Team!

Pools by Bradley has partnered with the YMCA to help all children residing in Central Florida and the entire Orlando Metropolitan area to learn about pool safety! For every pool sold, Pools by Bradley proudly donates eight swim lessons to any local child in need. These life-saving lessons are provided through a partnership with the YMCA, ensuring each child is matched with a convenient location. Pools by Bradley also assists in coordinating with the YMCA to make the process seamless for families. It’s our way of giving back to our local community which has supported us since we opened for business way back in 1996, and to help educate our local “kiddos” about pool safety, while also teaching them how to swim safely. YMCA swim lessons focus on teaching our children how to perform a sequenced set of skills. These skills include:

Exercises to help kids get acclimated and comfortable just being in the water.
Instructions in “Jump, Push, Turn, Grab” and “Swim, Float, Swim” – Two essential skill sets that every child should know in Florida and can use if they unexpectedly find themselves in a pool or another water environment.
Specific safety topics, like what you should do if you see someone in the water who needs some help.
Fun activities that reinforce the child’s new skills.

The YMCA is known for essentially being a pioneer in providing communities the resources that they need in order to learn the importance of water safety. It’s now actually been over one-hundred years since the YMCA officially introduced the concept of swimming lessons to the kids throughout our great country. Now, with over 10.4 million residential pools and 300,000+ public swimming pools around the country, the “Y” provides invaluable swim skills and water safety lessons to more than a million children each year.
